Details:Final maturation of this rum was done in a New York Distilling Company Rye Whiskey Barrel. The name, a nod to one of our favorite local authors, celebrates this marriage of two grasses- rye and sugar cane. This rum has a rustic boldness from the spice of the rye with powerful oaky notes, and a firmness on the palate supporting dense flavors.
Notes: oak spice, smoke, worn leather, apple butter, brown bread, forest floor, and rye spice.
