Queen’s Share – Barrel P110

Barrel: P110 Cooperage: Used Rum Barrel, 53 Gallons Barreled: January 26, 2016 Age: 2 years 1 month 27 days   A medium amber hue with flashes of gold in the glass, the viscous rum coats the glass. Aromas of meadowsweet, hay, wildflower, dried red apple peel and white cherry perfume the nose. The palate is richly textured, supple and rounded.  The understated power shows mineral (almost oyster shell), earthy complexity with biscuit, shortbread, heather, orange zest, and perfumed black vanilla pod and cocoa butter. The finish is long and perfumes the back palate. The rum opens and evolves in the glass with air.
