As Vice President of Sales at Privateer Rum, Kevin Martin leads the sales and marketing strategy. Martin is dedicated to sharing the Privateer ethos of creating superior quality American rums beyond the New England region from which it hails.
Martin joined the Privateer Rum team after seven years as Bar Manager at Boston’s venerable Eastern Standard Kitchen and Drink. A vital contribution to the Boston culinary and cocktail scene, the Eastern Standard Kitchen and Drink beverage program was elevated to national prominence under Martin’s management. Kevin brings to Privateer more than a decade of experience in the hospitality industry, applying his dedication to service to every facet of the Privateer Rum process.
A native of Glastonbury, Connecticut, Martin began his restaurant career at New York’s Culinary Institute of America where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies with honors. After culinary school, Martin moved to Maui, Hawaii and to bartend in one of the world’s largest tourist destinations while enjoying the relaxed lifestyle made possible by the Hawaiian Islands. Martin left Maui for Boston to lead the role of Eastern Standard Kitchen and Drink’s Bar Manager.
